TRANSPORTNET, as composed of eight European transport research universities and institutes, features a long history in research and in teaching, in various aspects and domains of transportation. TRANSPORTNET partners join forces in this course, in order to offer a complete program, which tackles key methodologies for supporting research in various transport domains. The course gives a broad overview as well as case-specific applications of sets of methodologies.
Specific topics dealt with by TRANSPORTNET professors during the course week are:
· The research process
· Data reduction techniques
· Design methodology
· Assessment methods
· Measuring association
· Spatial data analysis
· Transport policy research
· Choice modeling
· Writing a research project and plan
Moreover, participants will also participate to a technical visit to the Port of Antwerp, and a social program will be available.
Course participants will get a participation certificate and a credit certificate upon successful completion of the assignment. The course values 6 ECTS credits for doctoral programs.
